Full-time position available with the City Planning & Development Department, Land Development Division located at 414 East 12th Street.
Normal Workdays/Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m., *telework available 1 day per week after 6-month probationary period
● Manages the personnel, budget, and activities of the Land Development Division’s Plan Review Section. Supervises Licensed Engineers, Engineers in Training, and Engineering Technicians.
● Participates in the preliminary development review process by attending pre-applicant consultation meetings.
● Participates in the development review process by assigning project specific development plan conditions and attending Development Review Committee (DRC) and City Planning Commission (CPC) meetings.
● Reviews plans of privately funded public infrastructure engineering/construction documents of streets, site disturbance plans, storm and sanitary sewers, grading, easements, maintenance agreements, and records that are required to satisfy the City Council’s requirements for the development.
REQUIRES 2 years progressively responsible experience as a Registered Engineer. Within 6 months of hire date, must be registered as a Professional Engineer with Missouri Board for Architects, Professional Engineers, Professional Land Surveyors, and Professional Landscape Architects. Preference given for a degree and experience in civil engineering.
Salary Range: $6,489-$9,734/month
