Two full-time position available with the City Planning & Development Department, Inspections Division located at 414 East 12th Street.
Normal Workdays/Hours: Monday-Friday, 7:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m.
● Conducts field inspections on residential properties for foundations, plumbing, demolition, erosion control, and supports permit compliance inspectors in the field.
● Special investigations, prepares reports, finalizes certificates of occupancy, and performs research for building code inspectors.
● Negotiates construction sites at all stages of construction, uneven terrain including excavations and ditches.
● Inspects and checks foundations, plumbing, makes special investigations, and prepares special reports as required.
● Performs related duties and responsibilities as assigned. REQUIRES high school graduation. Must possess a valid state-issued driver license in accordance with the City of KCMO policies. Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and post-offer physical examination as prescribed by the City.
Salary Range: $22.61-$34.48/hour
