- Use IBC Chapter 6 to determine the specific features of the twelve types of construction
- Understand the concept behind the use of construction type to regulate a building’s design and construction
- Identify the characteristics of the 12 types of construction set forth in the 2024 IBC
- Determine the details of construction type based on fire-resistance-rated protection
- Identify those allowances where combustible materials are permitted in Type I and II buildings
